This newly purchase home in Danbury, CT had a fireplace that had seen its share of fires and staining from smoking and cooking oils as well as years of embedded dust. Although the lighting was bad for the pictures… its pretty clear the stone responded beautifully to the restoration. The one picture that shows the side wall half done on the bottom is a clear example of what can be achieved with our process. Notice the definition of the colors coming back as the layers of dirt are removed. The soot staining, often the hardest to remove, shows a vast improvement and is the cleanest it can be short of sand blasting.
